Public Speaking for Women

Does your voice sound as though you are public squeaking instead of commanding the room? Does your body language look pathetic or powerful? If you are fed up with being turned down for promotion or being ripped off by your auto mechanic you may be unconsciously sabotaging yourself because your communication style encourages male prejudice . This workshop will look at the differences in communication styles between men and women and give you skills to bridge the gap.

Topics include:

  • Scare tactics: Ways to control your fears

  • The fear of flailing: Take charge of your body language!

  • First impressions count: Don't get a zero!

  • Wake up your voice and tone down your pitch

  • How to think on your feet without falling on your face

Our approach to public speaking:
We are award winning speakers whose training in both public speaking and theater give us a unique approach. We teamed up because we thought it was time for a different type of public speaking course. We think of a speech as a total performance, not a boring recitation of information. This same philosophy is carried over to our seminars. We believe that people learn best when they are involved, entertained and can see immediate results.

The Two Coach Advantage:
In the "Public Speaking for Women" workshop there are two coaches and the class size is limited to 15 so that you will get plenty of individual attention!

The Coaching Team:
Our Coaches are Barb Holmes and Sally Chopping. Sally and Barb are public speakers with an acting and theater background. They will use their experience to show you how to look natural at the lectern, how to have a powerful stage presence, how to win over an audience and how to have fun doing it!
